Rd 14 v Mt Compass

We welcome Mount Compass players and supporters for both footy and netball today. In a season that is quickly getting to the pointy end, today’s contest is vital to our chances of maintaining a spot in the top five for our A-Grade side. Hopefully we can return to our first round form and bring home a win.

Congratulations to Marcus Lippett, Andy Fyfe, Cohen Pettitt, Lachie Williams and Scott Wendelborn who were all involved in the Country Champs last weekend.

Also, to Tess Huxtable who was selected in the team of the championships at the completion of the competition where Southern were successful in taking out the Women’s trophy.

Recently we had our wind-up of the Auskick program. This was a great night and thanks to Bill Harvey, Steve Keany and Denika Burrows who ran it very successfully. It was fantastic to see so many kids involved and enjoying their first experience of Aussie Rules footy.

It will be obvious to all that the serious part of the club extensions are under way. Please be patient over the rest of the year as there will be areas of the club that will not be accessible. Entrance to the club will only be through the front door or change rooms. Parents, could you please make sure that children are aware that there are areas that are definitely off limits due to safety reasons.

There has been some enquiries regarding club caps. We are pleased to now have some available from the bar $15 for the ‘C’mon Bays’ mesh training cap and $20 for the EBFC casual cap.

We also still have a limited amount of the Centenary navy blue windcheaters available, some kids sizes but mostly 2XL and larger ($30) – see Lisa or someone from the committee.

A great night was had at the Bay Ball thanks to the Social Committee. Please have a look at the flyer for the remaining social events for the year and mark them in your diary.

Next weekend sees the long awaited return of the Players Revue so get your acts sorted for what will be a not to be missed event.

Go Bays!
