Rd 17 v Goolwa/Port Elliot

A big welcome to all the Encounter Bay ladies for today’s ‘Ladies Dayat The Bay’. The club is very appreciative of the support given to all our men’s and boy’s footballers by their partners, girlfriends and mothers as they pursue their sporting dreams at Encounter Bay.

Likewise, to our female footballers where hopefully we will see the club back with a full complement of team’s next season.

Also, to our female supporters group who do so much to assist the club in it’s administration and all things footy – thanks for your efforts.

Lastly there has been much more of an involvement from the netball fraternity this season. This has been mutually satisfying with the girls showing the boys how to have a great time with the club throughout the year!

Anyway, we hope many of Bay’s ladies get involved with Ladies Day today and enjoy the proceedings.

It is also a fundraiser for Breast Cancer research & support – so to all our patrons please give generously –

The A-Grade players will be showing their support by wearing pink socks for their game.

On field it was a bit of sad day last week as we travelled home without a win and several injuries.

Our showing in the opposition club after the game was equally disappointing. This is an area where we are normally pretty good so please remember how we feel when opposition clubs do not support us.

Tonight after the game we have ‘Don’s Fish’ on the menu so hang around for a feed and a drink.

Hopefully we can get back on the winning list in all grades today as we welcome the Goolwa Port Elliot Clubs to the Bay.

Go Bays!
