The importance of mental health awareness in our sporting communities

The Encounter Bay Football Club are committed to the Breakthrough Community Round to demonstrate the importance of supporting the mental health and wellbeing of our sporting community.

Through fundraising, our club will have access to vital mental health first aid training, enabling us to support our community into the future and drive positive change within our club.

Our players will be wearing purple and blue armbands during this weekend’s match against Mount Compass to help to raise funds and awareness for the Breakthrough Mental Health Research Foundation.

You can make a donation to support Breakthrough MHR by visiting our club’s fundraising page here.

Right now, you or someone you know, may be suffering a mental health issue. So let’s look out for one another and get behind Breakthrough to support mental health research and create a life free from mental illness.
