Congratulations to Lachie Williams who took the Best Player on Ground medal with a 5 goal haul from half a game up forward.

The Indigenous round had plenty of highlights – before the match in a stunning ceremony as well as some excellent performances on the field by some of our players.

We had an easy win, but still have plenty to work on before next weeks clash with ladder leaders, McLarens.

Not our best match by far, though a good game to learn that team-work and good intent at training are key to playing well.

Moddies U8/9s

Due to Goolwa’s numbers – we were able to field a Under 10’s and Under 8’s side. After giving a couple of our Under 9’s players to the Under 10’s we were left with 10 of our Under 9’s to field a scratch match against ourselves, which was disappointing for our boys again.

I can take pride in watching my boys utilising the skills we are learning on Thursday nights, and I can see that there has been a real improvement in tapping the ball forward when it is on the ground in front of us, and ensuring we stay in our own zones whilst on the ground.

U14 Girls

Bays first win!

The Multi team being Willunga came to the Bay to disperse players to both Teams. This created a 20 plus a side, and Encounter Bay was Dominant, even among Willunga strength.

Strong from the bounce to Forward, we had the size and strength to come out with the Win.

Goal Kickers: Hayley 4, Aardhana, Madie, April

Best Players: Maggie, Hayley, and Georgia
